Join us on the last leg of 2017 where we explore the Baltic, visit the Nautor's swan yard in Jakobstad, Finland, medieval Visby on the island of Gotland, and finish off in Sandhamn, in the outer Stockholm archipelago and the summer base of KSSS, the Royal Swedish Yacht Club. Crew can return to Stockholm easily via ferry from Sandhamn. Isbjorn will spend the winter in storage in central Stockholm, so this is our final trip of 2017!
$4,000 // 10 Days
Join the boat in the 'capital of Scandinavia,' beautiful Stockholm, Sweden. Isbjorn will be berthed at Wasahamnen, right in the heart of the city and home to the Wasa Museum, a must-see for sailors visiting the city. From there, we'll sail out through the archipelago, and head offshore and north to Jakobstad, Finland, the home of Nautor Swan, for a visit of the famous yard where Isbjorn was built almost 50 years ago.

From there it's another long passage south to Åland, and it's capital Mariehamn. The semi-independent island archipelago technically belongs to Finland, but the people speak Swedish and they have their own flag. Åland is the home of the Last Cape Horner's - the island commercially operated the last of the square-rigged ships to sail the grain route fro Australia to England via Cape Horn, and did so up until 1949! The Pommern is on display as a fully-rigged museum ship, and Mariehamn is home to the Association of Cape Horners, a club for tallship crew who rounded the Horn the hard way, on working sailing ships.

Finally, we'll finish with a short, 60-mile sail down to Sandhamn, in the outer Stockholm archipelago and the summer home of KSSS, the Royal Swedish Yacht Club. Crew will disembark Isbjorn here and take a beautiful ferry ride into central Stockholm to travel home. Or, spend a few days on the island staying in the historic Sailor's Hotel!

Crew will fly into and out of Stockholm. Arlanda (ARN) airport is the biggest in the city, though Bromma and Vasteras are also good options, especially if you're flying within Europe.
