Synopsis
Meet ICEBEAR in the Azores where she’ll be resting after her second Trans-Atlantic passage of the season! From the Azores we’ll sail northeast, covering the 1,900 nautical miles it takes to officially finish this Trans-Atlantic journey in Bergen, Norway, skipper August Sandberg’s homeport! Potential stops, weather permitting, include Ireland, Scotland and Shetland.
The Route
Tentative Itinerary
June 8: Join ICEBEAR in the Azores at 1700. Dinner with the group either ashore or onboard.
June 9: All-day safety briefing & boat orientation
June 10: Departure (after waiting for a good weather window)
June 10-24: At-sea, with potential stops in Ireland, weather dependent.
June 26: Depart ICEBEAR in Bergen by 12:00 (Noon)
Travel Logistics
Fly into Horta Airport (HOR)
Fly out from Bergen airport (BGO), or take a train / rent a car and fly out from Oslo Gardermoen airport (OSL).
How to Join
To register, complete the Offshore Passage Registration by clicking the 'Register Now' button above, or at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to complete the form - make sure you hit submit. Indicate '2022: Azores - Bergen, Norway' as your preferred passage.
Once we receive your registration, you'll be sent an invoice for 50% of the balance, due immediately. The final 50% of the balance will be due 60 days prior to the passage date. Terms and conditions are in the registration form, and you'll be asked to agree to them before submitting your deposit. Please read them carefully.
