#130 RECYCLED. John Kretschmer has long been a hero of mine, and has become a friend and mentor over the past 10+ years. John runs offshore adventure sailing passages on his Kaufman 47 QUETZAL (the inspiration for our own business), is a former delivery skipper and a renowned author of several books, including his latest ‘Sailing to the Edge of Time,’ which will release in November. Andy spoke to John back in 2016.

Mia & I have made it a goal in 2018 to refine our mission statement of ‘sharing the wisdom of the high seas with those wise enough to seek it out’, and we’re accomplishing that in a couple of ways.

Second, we’ve just launched a new podcast called ‘How I Think About Sailing’, which is precisely what the title implies, so please go check that out if you haven’t already. It’s got it’s own podcast feed, and we’re encouraging listener participation - it’s our way of answering your questions and getting the information out to as wide an audience as possible.
And lastly, we love meeting people face to face and talking sailing, so we’ve always got a few workshops on the calendar, mainly in Annapolis. on things like offshore sailing in general and my personal favorite, celestial navigation.
