Join us to shake out ICEBEAR’s stiff sails after her winter maintenance in Antigua. The exact route is TBD — we may sail north to stage her in another Caribbean port or we may just make a course around neighboring islands and return to Falmouth Harbor, Antigua.

Itinerary
Join the boat in Falmouth Harbor, Antigua, where we'll have a safety & orientation briefing. We will pay extra attention to tuning the rig following its maintenance period.
Head out into the Atlantic Ocean! Experience all points of sail and fly the spinnaker as we shakedown ICEBEAR after her winer maintenance in Antigua.
Depending on weather and the state of COVID / international travel, we will head north to another Caribbean island, perhaps stopping to anchor on the way.
Anchor in our arrival port and enjoy a final crew meal together. After we clean the boat together, crew will depart ICEBEAR.

Chris has been working professionally on yachts ever since completing his Yachtmaster in 2009. Having logged more than 165,000 nautical miles since, Chris has sailed and raced all around the world on a variety of yachts from small, modern Cape31s to big classic 50m schooners.
During the 2017-18 Clipper Round The World Race Chris skippered the Chinese entry Qingdao and his team achieved a 3rd overall. After the Clipper Race Chris spent two years in the high latitudes skippering Skip Novak's sailing expedition yacht Pelagic Australis. Chris skippered ICEBEAR in 2022 and is returning in 2023 to skipper FALKEN.
