Synopsis
Join us in beautiful Antigua in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean and sail north to Bermuda! Trace the classic trade winds route – one of the nicest and warmest ocean passages we offer. You can expect mostly easterly trade winds to start and a northbound route so we should have several days of reaching under sunny skies and starry nights.
As we progress further into the North Atlantic, it is possible to experience a cold front this time of year giving us the opportunity for some heavy weather sailing. Enjoy a classic landfall in St. George’s, Bermuda where we encourage you to stay ashore after disembarkation and explore this beautiful island on your own!
Note:
We now reserve two spots for women on all of our passages! Learn more here.
The Route
Expected Weather Pattern
Expect great sailing conditions leaving the Caribbean mostly on a reach as we sail north towards Bermuda in the easterly trade winds. As we get further north, the trades can either follow us, or sometimes die out. Occasionally, cold front will cross the track, bringing heavy weather with their passing followed by brisk northwesterly winds and clear skies. Expect daytime air temperatures in the high 70s to 80s (F) at the beginning. Nighttime air temperatures average in the low 70s. Air temperatures can shift lower as we move north depending on whether we cross a cold front or not.
