Synopsis
Join us in Bergen, Norway and embark on ISBJØRN to set sail west across the North Sea for Scotland. The voyage is timed so that we will make landfall in Lerwick, Scotland for the celebrated Viking fire festival - Up Helly Aa. This spectacular, full-day community event is an annual tradition in which hundreds of participants dress as Vikings complete with helmets, axes, and fiery torches. Enjoy the festivities and sail the return trip back to Bergen across the North Sea with your Viking captain.

The Route
Expected Weather Pattern
The weather on the Norwegian West coast is very unpredictable, especially this time of year. We could get champagne spinnaker sailing sunshine, full-blown storm, rain squalls or blizzard. Or very possibly, all of the above. The only guarantee is that it will be fairly cold! But as we say, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. No need for shorts and sandals on this one.
