Synopsis
59º North’s first foray into the Pacific Northwest! We’ll start in Ketchikan, Alaska after moving FALKEN across the border between passages then sail down the coast of British Columbia before making landfall in Victoria, on the southern end of Vancouver Island. Expect whales, mountains, variable and challenging weather, and a mix of offshore and inshore navigating as we effectively complete the Race to Alaska course in reverse.

Expect cold and damp temperatures and variable winds as we meander down the coast of British Columbia.
Tentative Itinerary
Aug 4: Join the boat in Ketchikan, Alaska at 13:00. Dinner with the group either ashore or onboard.
Aug 5: All-day safety briefing & boat orientation
Aug 6: Departure! (Weather dependent)
Aug 11: Depart the boat in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada by 12:00 Noon
Travel Logistics
Fly into Ketchikan International Airport (KTN) which is served by major airlines like Delta and Alaska Airlines through connecting cities such as Seattle and Anchorage.
Fly out of Victoria International Airport (YYJ) or nearby Vancouver International Airport (YVR) which has excellent connections from Victoria via flight or ferry.
As with all our passages, we strongly advise organizing the APPROPRIATE TRAVEL INSURANCE to cover the full cost of your trip.
How to Join
To register, complete the Offshore Passage Registration by clicking the 'Sign Up' button above, or at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to complete the form - make sure you hit submit. Indicate '2025 // FALKEN: Ketchikan – Victoria' as your preferred passage.
Once we receive your registration, you'll be sent an invoice for 50% of the balance, due immediately. The final 50% of the balance will be due 60 days prior to the passage date. Terms and conditions are in the registration form, and you'll be asked to agree to them before submitting your deposit. Please read them carefully.
