Synopsis

Another iconic South Pacific route taking in several of the classic landfalls of the South Seas. Navigate the famed “dangerous archipelago” of the Tuamotus in French Polynesia with their low-lying reefs and confusing currents. Then make a final landfall on the lush and enchanting island of Tahiti after 800 miles at sea.

Tentative Itinerary

  • May 10: Join the boat in Hiva Oa, Marquesas at 13:00. Dinner with the group either ashore or onboard.

  • May 11: All-day safety briefing & boat orientation

  • May 12: Departure! (Weather dependent)

  • May 20: Depart the boat in Pape’ete, Tahiti by 12:00 (Noon)


Travel Logistics

  • Fly into Atuona airport on Hiva Oa (AUQ) and meet the boat at a marina TBA. The most common route is to connect through Tahiti's Faa'a International Airport (PPT).

  • Fly out of Faa'a International Airport (PPT), which is the main gateway to the French Polynesia located in Pape’ete, the capital city of Tahiti.

  • Several major international airlines offer direct flights to/from Tahiti from different parts of the world, including Air Tahiti Nui, Air France, Qantas, and United Airlines from destinations such as Los Angeles, Paris, Sydney, and Auckland.

  • As with all our passages, we strongly advise organizing the APPROPRIATE TRAVEL INSURANCE to cover the full cost of your trip.


How to Join

To register, complete the Offshore Passage Registration by clicking the 'Sign Up' button above, or at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to complete the form - make sure you hit submit. Indicate '2025 // FALKEN: Hiva Oa – Tuamotus – Tahiti' as your preferred passage. 

Once we receive your registration, you'll be sent an invoice for 50% of the balance, due immediately. The final 50% of the balance will be due 60 days prior to the passage date. Terms and conditions are in the registration form, and you'll be asked to agree to them before submitting your deposit. Please read them carefully.
