The Route
Expected Weather Pattern
We have the chance to see a wide range of wind directions on this passage giving us the chance for all points of sail. Crossing the Bay of Biscay we can experience large Atlantic swells. We’ll likely have northerlies along the coast of Portugal giving us the chance for good downwind sailing as we enter warmer air temperatures.

Fly into Dublin’s international airport (DUB), take a train / bus to Cork, or fly in straight to Cork airport (ORK).
Fly out of Lisbon’s international airpot (LIS) located 300 km from Lagos, or choose the closer, smaller airport Faro. The crew typically arranges a group transport to the airport and/or airport hotel after disembarking.
As with all our passages, we strongly advise organizing the appropriate travel insurance to cover the cost of the trip.
